Three ways I act out of fear include worrying about something that is out of my control, not trusting God, not trusting others.

Come up with three words for yajna, tapa, dana:
Explore, Exert, Expand

In yajna we explore our true nature, dedicating ourselves to getting to know who we are. In tapa we exert ourselves to push against our comfort zone – this requires hard and smart work. In dana, we expand our sense of identification, so we do not feel like the individual is the giver – rather we are part of the whole.

Grateful for the presence of Grace in my life.

Hari Aum,

RAD’s are so powerful, most of the time I do the RAD’s in my head and actually post less then I really should but today had a big impact on me so I thought I would share to say thank you. Today’s RAD made me think I have already been waking up and saying “I love you to our alter” with our 2 year daughter for a few months now – all thanks to a previous RAD. We had also started saying it in the evenings as well before going to sleep. Our RAD today then made me think that I would now start also in the mornings in saying “I love you to” any being in our home. From first seeing daylight, to humans (protectors of the Earth), to our car.

Today, I start this and all thanks to an amazing RAD.

Really analyze your projectivity (your profession, vocation). Is it aligned with your guna (propensity) or inner world?
……
If I was asked this question many years ago, I may have said- I’m unsure. But that was the answer arising from the confused mind of teenager who didn’t know what was the best for her. She felt she was just forced into medicine whilst she wanted to be a writer.

His Will, His Way, My Faith

Now older and hopefully wiser guided by the vision of advaita Vedanta , the profession I’m in is the best profession He could have chosen for me. I love being in medicine, an opportunity to serve, to listen, to heal. Each day I’m given this sacred opportunity to touch many lives. This is the responsibility I take very seriously.

Has it been easy?
Of course not! Sometimes the days can be challenging but all the admin hassles etc become trivial when I know why I’m here for.

He knows the best! Being a student of Vedanta helped me discover my vision. The foundation of Vedanta has reshaped how I look at my life. I thank my guides for that.

Is life easy?
No .
But Life is beautiful because it’s a gift from Him and the profession I’m in helps me utilize the gift to my best potential.

Rate yourself from 1-33 on how much respect, love, and reverence do you have for those who know they are the Atma-

Shukadev ji has shared in Bhagvatam that the greatest gain and greatest good is that we have constant unfaltering devotion to Bhagvan.

If I love Him, how can I not love the ones who are close to Him ? Even though divine manifests in all creation, it’s so much easier to see divinity in the smile of our guides, the twinkle in their eyes.

Because of the ones who know they are Atman , I’m on this path of knowing that I’m Atman too.

That respect, love and reverence cannot be measured yet if I have to put a score, I will put 30.
Why not 33?….. it’s my own lack of purification that sometimes holds me back .
May our lives be always centered solely on Bhagvan.
May our journey be always blessed with guidance from our gurus.

☀ Jan 25, 2023 – Really analyze your projectivity (your profession, vocation). Is it aligned with your guna (propensity) or inner world?
In my case, i feel i have been given a custom designed profession, where i can ask people how i can simplify their life and make working happier for them and making those changes. Earlier this boosted my ego, but now i am able to see that entity and tell it that it was Bhagavan who tuned into my frequency to help out with my aha moments and not this ego.
Trying to feel this in all the various activities that this body does! Thanking the grace of my GuruParampara and my Sadguru!

Out of the classifications of yajna, tapa, dana, which one has been most revealing to you?

Tough to choose one as each one has given lots to reflect upon.

The frameworks shared by Bhagvan Krishna show His love for us. In a simple way ( yet deep) He has given us such opportunities to introspect. Where do i stand in the my ladder of Faith.
My faith is strong I know but then some of my thoughts and actions do not comply with what’s been shared. How can I call my faith Satvik?

Ahara- I have been trying but He works in mysterious way. He has ‘weeded’ out people from my life who were not aligned with my journey to Him. I keep trying through satsanga and sadhana but His grace is what makes it happen

Yagna- my effort is no where close to what He gives me in return. What’s stopping me?

Tapah -Am I serving the divinity, humanity the best I can through my actions, words, thoughts? Is my purpose clear? Im trying to hasten slowly !

Dana- “that is Your hand in my pocket giving Your wealth away.”( Rumi). And yet why do I sometimes hold the purse strings?

Gurudev shares- All my life is the story of my love for Him!

Remembering Him all the time helps in slowly transforming my anatma vasna to atma vasana.I will continue to strive. And one day i will be free when my Faith is singularly satvik. .

Among the classifications of yagna , tapa and Dana which one is most revealing to you
I have learned more depth / most subtle points and got a very great understanding of tapa / sacrifice / renunciation from the insights of Manana Mornings .
It’s adds more light to lift myself and gave more check points to keep myself more alert / vigilant whether all my action at the. Body , speech and mind level is taking place with Utmost dedication to please the divinity and to purify the equipment , Who gave the all the opportunities.
Thanks for the powerful insights with great depth vivekji to evolve / grow into bigness which eventually turning all as a most caring person and to be a great contributor for the welfare of all

RAW 11/1/2023: Create a visual of verses 13-15 for yourself

Included an extract from a running summary of Chapter 17 that I am creating. This chart relates to verses 14-16 (Shraddha/Faith). My goal is to summarize the key points in 2-3 pages so that I can easily reference.

Be Your Own Best friend!

I had to learn this art of befriending myself in childhood. That was not out of any spiritual development but because of fear of others’ judgement.
Yet this also was a great lesion. I grew to love being alone, loving my own company and the company of my best friends- my books. Now they never judge. I travelled to far off places through these books, cried when Maggie drowns in Mill on the floss; brood with the darkness of Wuthering heights and laugh at Bertie Wooster in PG Wodehouse. (Do I even need people?)

Still I have played the game of ‘fitting in’ too. Engaging in self development was the best way to befriend myself. Soon I need to be independent of all escapism and judgements ( except from my Bhagvanji and guru). Yes and finally independent of books too.

Self development leads to best friendships- with one self and with right minded seekers.

How can I rate Vivek ji when I am being given so much of inward looking into myself. Vivek ji my guru is helping me to go towards my nature or see myself, understand me. There is no scale to measure my guru.
Because of Vivek ji’s techniques I have developed love towards Sri Krishna through Bhagavatam classes.  From Chapter 6 of Bhagavad Gita I am able to sit through meditation on my own without being scared or any other emotions only because of Vivek ji. That is the best blessing I have gotten from Vivek ji. Before this on my own I could not meditate. Through silence retreats I get to know myself, which is greatest Bhagya of my life. I was exposed to Acharya Shankara when attended Sadhana Panchakam. Now with Narada Bhakti Sutra I am understanding Bhakti from a different perspective I never was exposed to.
I cannot explain in words how much he helped me grow with various workshops and classes. I am not a writer. All I can say is Bhagavan has blessed me with an amazing guru like Vivek ji.

Rating-Limitless

It almost seems irreverent to ‘rate’ one’s guide who has shown one the way to happiness.
How can I limit him with some numbers when I’m learning to be limitless from him?

I can perhaps rate the grace that I have been blessed with – 100( awesome)!

What have I even done to deserve this grace? It’s only His compassion that brought guru in my life.
Nothing gives me the right to give any rating. I have played the number game for many lifetimes. Now it’s time to rediscover infinite.

The God through Vivekji gently reminds
that I’m not tied;
that I’m Light.
That light is Limitless and so is our Vivekji.

🙏

Hari Aum, with Gratitude to VivekJi, summarizing Chapter 16 in 24 words is a difficult task:

Embrace aspirations and acceptance; avoid expectations, cultivate purity, courage, integrity, dedication, humility. Avoid hypocrisy, arrogance, anger, harshness. Shun desire, anger, greed; find Krishna within.

Summarize these 24 verses in 24 words

From time to time, take a close and honest look at your self.
It pays.
Laugh ever, and smile continuously in your within.
BeBe.

Oct 13 – The 3 gates out of hell are:

  1. To get out of Lobha (greed), practice Daana (generosity) – the more one gives the more one will get out of greed. The locus shifts from what one wants to what others need.
  2. To get out of Krodha (anger), practice Tapa (burning your comfort zone) – the more one practices voluntary discipline (e.g., waking early, speaking softly) the more quiet one’s mind will be. The locus shifts from aggressiveness to cheerful quietness.
  3. To get out of Kaama (desire), practice Yajna (dedication) – the more one dedicates oneself to self-study, seek, serve, support noble cause/purpose, the less desires one will have. The locus shifts from desiring externalities to desiring the desireless!
