Summary of last session (March 9) by Shri Mohan Khandekar

Shri Vijay ji recapped Doha 117 which talks about removing misapprehension. Sorrows are bound to follow if one goes after material objects.  This statement has been supported by a couple of examples such as shells on the sea coast in sunlight or moonlight appear to be silver and mirage on the desert. 

117:3/4 In spite of being devoid of organs of actions and organs of perception, the sublime  Brahman ‘perceives and acts’ . 

118: ” The Glories of Shri Ramchandra ji are sung by Vedas, Munis and Pundits” Shiv ji says.  Vijay ji elaborated the meaning of the word Pundit. 

118:1 “Anyone, with complete devotion, who dies in Kashi will be free from this Samsar” Shiv ji proclaims.  Shri Ram , who dwells in our heart is not only a support of the living beings (चेतन) but of the gross bodies (जड) too. Vijay ji, here referred to Isavasya Upnishad. “He Rules Upon Us And Let Us Rule Upon Others “(जो हमपर शासन करता है और शासन करवाता है).

118:2 “When in distress, offer yourself respectfully and with full devotion at Shri Ramji’s feet and you shall be released from the cycle of birth and death” Shiv ji reassures. 

119:3 “Parvati, Shri Ram is Paramanand and Paramatma.  Do not be misled by any other thought” Shiv ji warns. (Parvati ji needs to strengthen her Sadhana).

119:4 Upon listening to Shivji, all doubts were cleared and Parvati ji’s love and conviction at Shri Ram ji’s feet surged. Here Vijay ji referred to Verse 10 of Chapter 10 of Bhagavad Gita:

तेषां सततयुक्तानां भजतां प्रीतिपूर्वकम् |
ददामि बुद्धियोगं तं येन मामुपयान्ति ते || 10||

“Unite Your Minds with Me and I shall pass on the Divine Knowledge to You”  Shri Krishna declares assures the true devotees. 

119/1: Parvati ji is grateful to Shiv ji and offers her respect by prostrating at His feet. “All my apprehensions are culminated and doubts are cleared” Parvati ji says to Shiv ji with gratitude. Here their relationship is more of a Guru-Shisya than husband and wife.
