Detailed Notes

RAW from Last Week: Spend each day with voices clear about purpose

  • Discipline sustains concentration and harnessing.
  • When steadiness matures, it becomes protective
  • When we fortify what we gather and harness, it becomes our inner armor

How to fortify what we built and insulate our peace?

Creatures of the night, like ghosts, demons don’t come near when they hear Hanumanji’s name.

  • Booth -> Ghost
  • Pisach -> Demon
  • Nikata -> Near
  • Nay ave -> Don’t come near
  • Mahavir -> Great hero
  • Jaba -> When
  • Sunave -> Sing or chant

Not every battle announces itself with drums and armies

  • Many sneak in quietly through the quiet glow of our screens, comparison, or a tiny thought that whispers, “Maybe I’m not enough.”
  • These are the real ghosts and demons -> Energies that drain us
  • The cure is not to run from them, but to come so strongly from within to not let them enter

1st Obstacle Hanumanji encounters

  • Mother of all serpents confronts him
  • Hanumanji grows bigger, she grows bigger
  • Represents greed
  • Defeats greed with contentment and humility
  • Remembers he doesn’t need more to be whole

2nd Obstacle

  • Simhika would bind animals with her shadow and drag them down
  • Represents jealousy
  • When we are jealous, we grab the shadow of another’s success
  • Hanumanji dives straight through -> Jealousy can’t be negotiated with
  • Jealousy is the least rational
  • Is my recognition important, or is my responsibility important?
  • Negate jealousy with knowledge
  • Protect our peace from leaking through the cracks of comparison

3rd obstacle

  • Lankini blocks the path and calls Hanumanji a thief
  • Symbolic of confusion
  • Mind mistakes dharma for adharma
  • Hanumanji knocks Lankini out
  • Sometimes it takes one precise moment of understanding to shatter years of fog.

Nisachara -> One who moves about at night, one who lives in dullness or laziness

  • Part of us that thrives in dullness
  • Prefers comfort over clarity
  • Predominant guna at night is tamas.
  • Fortification and insulation are catalyzed by clarity.

Hanumanji enters Lanka unshaken

  • To fortify is to strengthen what holds you upright
  • Fortress strength depends on how tightly the stones are packed
  • Our stones are our choices

When we fortify, we strengthen

  • Choose one small routine you honor no matter what

When we insulate, we preserve it

  • At least once a day, when something provokes you, pause and take a full, deep breath before reacting.

RAW for this week: Pick a moment when you’re in motion safely, imagine there is a single invisible thread running from the top of your head down to your spine and into the earth
